Just got my test scores back for the Graduate School entrance exams I took last month! And since you guys all (well, almost all) wanted to know how it went...
Total of 900 points (3 tests at 300 pts. each), minimum passing is a 240 on each test.
I got an 841. Reading 281, Math 291, Writing 269.
It's kinda ironic that I sucked so badly at writing. I mean, I practice giving you all A++ material on at least a weekly basis! But whatever, I was targeting the math section anyway since that's what I'll be going back to school for. And before you guys ask...Masters Degree in Teaching: Biology.
So YAY, I passed! And I didn't do too bad, if I may say so myself. Now onto the school applications...which means I'll soon be broke since I'm planning on applying to at least 3 (maybe 5) schools and the application fees aren't really that cheap.
Eww Math! But I do love Biology. ;) Yay for passing them all. You did pretty damn well, I think. And good luck with your school apps. I remember having to do those not too long ago...
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I'm so happy for you :) I hope you get in where you want.
ReplyDeleteI, for one, never doubted you.
ReplyDeleteBut still. Yay!
Though teaching? Are you sure?
Congrats!
ReplyDeleteSalute! Perhaps you gave so much of your writing talent to your blog that you didn't have anything left for the test.
ReplyDeleteA spontaneous happy dance just for you!
ReplyDeleteYou should try contacting the schools ahead of time and see if the applications fees won't be waived.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember having to pay for applying, but then, I also don't remember much about that year between grad school and undergrad.
Right on! Wouldn't expect any less from you.
ReplyDeleteI'm grateful that the GRE wasn't required when I did my master's. Could be the requirements of each school (I only applied at Seattle U). I also got my application fee waived by showing my rent and bills and paystubs. At the time I was below the poverty line, so they gave me lots of financial aid and waived the extra fees. You could always try for that.
Woo hoo! Congrats!!
ReplyDeleteI never doubted you would kick that test's butt and make it whimper:)
ReplyDeleteHey there. Definitely, congrats on the awesome score. Possibly MENSA-status? Now the only difficult thing left is deciding which school to choose. Also, look into getting at least some of the fees waived for applications. There are ways to get around that. :)
ReplyDeleteCONGRATS!!!! So proud of you!!!!
ReplyDeleteYes I can love you publically again!!! LMAO!!!
ReplyDeleteI answered your question in today's 100-4-100 post. (Yes, it's a clever little way to pimp my blog today!) Come on over.
ReplyDeleteGood job.. Now it's time to try new things... like snowboarding.. ;-)
ReplyDeleteCongrats, great job!
