Really Quick Update...

Backstory: went to NW Folklife Festival at the Seattle Center this weekend. Just as we were about to leave, I thought it would be cool to ride the Ferris Wheel. Just as the ride started, I remembered something very important.

(Warning: Turn your volume down before starting video)

Forgot how you were terrified of heights, did ya??? You remember now though, don't you?!?

Thanks to Nerick who was nice enough to take a video of me while I was busy trying not to pee my pants or throw up all over him.

Working on a couple blog posts and vlogs about Seattle travels...looking forward to reading everyone's blogs soon!

Haha! "That's pretty funny!" said the woman who loves Ferris Wheels (especially when they stop at the top to let people out).

I'm only afraid of heights when I'm on the edge of a cliff or something. ; )

I'm the kind of terrified of heights that just watching other people do stuff like the ferris wheel makes me squeamish!

Yeah....me too. My older son decided it would be funny to try to make our bucket rock back and forth until I threatened him with his life;)

I like anything that goes high up, fast, or is a thrillride!

Hey there. I was so proud of you for volunteering/wanting to go on the ride even though you're scared of heights. While you were looking down the entire time, I took pics when we were at the highest point at the top so you can see how high we actually went. ;)

I saw this video, and knew I needed to send Cora home "stat" to make sure you were allright.

("Stat" on a little later than planned, right?)

ALL: I'm inclusively scared of heights...like, I used to live on the tenth floor of a building with a balcony and I was fine sitting out there, and Im fine being on top of a mountain as long as theres at least 10 feet between me and the edge, and Im even ok on ski lifts...but for some reason ferris wheels, bridges, going up the escalator if it's more than 3 stories up, going up the elevator on the space needle, going parasailing, just makes me want to cry!

Scope: I'm fine...thankfully the operators (whom you can hear laughing at one point in the video) let us out pretty fast. I think they were scared I'd throw up all over the place and they'd have to clean it.

Cora: Im fine in planes!! perfectly fine. And I even like sitting at the window. I don't know why Im scared sometimes and ok other times. Im weird like that I guess.

I'm scared of heights too. I won't go near a roller coaster with a big drop. But for some reason I'm okay with Ferris Wheels. Maybe I feel more secure because I'm not going 200 mph on a rickety metal track operated by a 16 year old.
