VLOG 2: Waxing a bit of the profound

"When you love someone, you open yourself up to suffering. That's the sad truth. Maybe they'll break your heart. Maybe you'll break their heart. But you'll never be able to look at yourself the same way. Those are the risks. You see two people and you think...they should be together. But nothing happens. And that's the burden. Like wings, love has a weight. We feel that weight on our backs, but they are a burden that lifts us. Burdens which allow us to fly"

-- Bones, TV show, narrated by the character 'Jack Hodgins'

Well, profound and slightly melancholy, like you said!

Oh, and my mind went to a very gutter place with "waxing a bit of the profound." I thought it was going to be a "How To" video!

I'm with Scope, where's the waxing video? :^)

And the quote is a very nice one, I wish you peace today and every day.

That quote is beautiful. I think I'm going to have to borrow that for my own personal reference.

That quote reminds me of Brett (my 20 y/o) and his girlfriend. They are so cute together but I realize that more than likely, at some point he is going to break her heart or the other way around. But for now, I just appreciate their relationship for what it is and I'm glad that they have each other.

I can relate to that quote in a couple of my romantic relationships. It's beautiful and sad at the same time. I hope whatever you're going through passes quickly.

Mo: Yep. I'm over it tho.

Scope: Hot tip for you, Fox on demand baby! I work right thru the episodes most of the time so I just watch it online the next day.

Scope: EW!

SkyDad: again, EW! I would never!!!

Char: I wasn't really sad...just, thinking about some stuff. How I've changed since the person in question was in my life etc...

J.Smith: LMAO!!! I LOVE that quote!

Fancy: Im glad it spoke to you like it did to me.

Chris: How do you know it will end? Maybe it won't and they'll be the lucky ones!

J.J: thanks! It did. I just felt that it applied to what I was feeling while I wrote the email. It was more for him to reflect on than for me, but it spoke to me regardless.

I still like it! I think it's only sad if you've been party to the heartbreaking part. But the hopeful part is that you can love someone enough to allow yourself to be vulnerable enough to be hurt by them. And that's beauty in and of itself.

I hope you found peace from writing the e-mail to the person from your past...
